4,000 Islands Lao Lao Di Li

We spent 4 magical days in Si Phan Don on Don Det and Don Khon. The Chai toned Mekong River swiftly wraps itself around these 4,000 peaceful islands. Life is hardwork but slowly paced, the people generous and gentle, and atmosphere peaceful and replenishing. Funny mix of backpackersilly and Laoslifeworking.

4 Turbo Faires and Clifford --ben jensons trusty steed-- equipped with a small boom box playing nostalgic tunes, joyful hearts, and an adventurous spirit set out for a day of fun.

With plenty of Lao Lao, papaya and sticky rice, and a downpour to wash away our traveler grime, we beared witness to a churning waterfall,

electric green/yellow rice fields,

staring (but harmless) water buffaloos, and naughty monks smoking cigarettes.

Happy22nd birthdaybri bri bri! We celebrated the dinasaour sounds of Bri's birth with a day of free drinks, delicious pizza, and creative art time. We happily/hysterically laughed, got caught in the dark on the other side of the island and returned home to a giant birthday spider. We love bri soooo much!

And, we stayed with magical kind, drunk people. Lao Lao!
